Instructions

  1. Coat a 9 x 9 inch cake pan with non-stick cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, baking soda, and baking powder in a medium-sized bowl.
  4. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, water, sugar and molasses, whisking to combine. Add eggs and ginger root, and thoroughly combine.
